USS Constitution Dry Dock Progress- Dry Dock 1

Dry Dock 1 is the location for USS Constitution's three year restoration. Old Ironsides first visited this dry dock on June 24, 1833, and is currently the second oldest functioning dry dock in the United States.These de-riggings and work progress on Dry Dock 1 are in preparation for her three year dry dock restoration that is scheduled for Spring 2015 in Charlestown Navy Yard.

USS Constitution Dry Dock Progress- Striking Down the Foremast

By Jan. 20, 2015 USS Constitution's fore mast had been stroked down, with no delay arriving from the two, late month, winter storms that hit the Boston area. These de-riggings are in preparation for her three year dry dock restoration that is scheduled for Spring 2015 in Charlestown Navy Yard.

USS Constitution Dry Dock Progress- topgallant masts

By Dec. 2, 2014 USS Constitution's topgallant masts had been removed from the fore, main, and mizzen masts. These de-riggings are in preparation for her three year dry dock restoration that is scheduled for Spring 2015 in Charlestown Navy Yard.

By Nov. 18, 2014 all of USS Constitution's yardarms had been removed from her three masts. These de-riggings are in preparation for her three year dry dock restoration that is scheduled for Spring 2015 in Charlestown Navy Yard.
